The first participant is chosen at random. The player can then request a specific rank from one of the other competitors. Asking a player if they have any sixes is one illustration. Only levels for which you already possess at least one card are permissible. For instance, you cannot request sixes if you do not possess any. You get another turn and can ask again if the person you ask has any sixes to give you. The player will say “Go Fish” and instruct you to take one card from the collection on the table if they don’t have any sixes.
If you receive a six, you must reveal it to the other players in order to continue playing. If you receive anything else, your turn is over, and the person to your left takes the field.

Taking a Turn
Each player gets a turn in clockwise order (to the player’s left).
The player asks another player whether they have a specific rank of card during their turn. For instance, the player may inquire of Kathy if she has any nines. Kathy must give the player all of her nines if she has any at all. Kathy will say “go fish” if she doesn’t have any nines.
When you “go fish” you can take any card from the pool.
If the player gets the cards they asked for, either from the pool or from Kathy, then the player gets another turn.
