CasperLabs counts Medha as one of its co-founders and CTO. In the early 1980s, she began working in technology and began creating computers in her basement. She has since spent the last 20 years supplying production SaaS software to well-known companies including Adobe, Omniture, and Avalara.
Along with her technical expertise, Medha’s strengths lie in her ability to lead highly effective technical teams and motivate them to provide solutions that address client challenges.
Mrinal Manohar, Co-Founder and CEO
Mrinal has a long history in the fields of finance and computer programming. Prior to starting Casper, Mrinal had positions at Sagard Capital as a Principal and Sector Head for Technology, Media, and Telecommunications, Bain Capital as a Private Equity Associate, and Bain & Company as an Associate Consultant.
Along with his contributions as a professional to the blockchain business, Mrinal has also been personally investing in it since 2012 as a seed investor in Ethereum, Blockstack, Basis, Maker, Filecoin, and other projects.
What Makes Casper Unique?
A noteworthy aspect of the network is the novel Correct-by-Construction (CBC) Casper specification. With the help of this specification, blockchain services can be quickly adopted at all levels of businesses. How Is the Casper Network Secured?
For network security, the Casper Network uses a PoS consensus process. PoS relies on token staking to choose node validators, allowing for a highly flexible and scalable consensus. PoS does not need a lot of electrical or computational capacity to carry out validations and add new blocks to the chain, in contrast to the proof-of-work (PoW) consensus utilised by the Bitcoin blockchain.
The Correct-by-Construction (CBC) Cspr specification, which uses an improved method for Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) applications, is another Cspr feature. The most recent security audit of Casper’s enterprise-grade architecture, Trail of Bits in January 2021, discovered no issues of high severity and verified that Casper “showed proper usage of security hygiene.”
