Stackwell, A Fintech Platform, Redefines The Concept Of Black Wealth

The Redefining Black Wealth campaign by Stackwell, the digital investment platform created to close the racial wealth gap, will highlight the meaning of “wealth” in the spirit of what the Black community is all about: innovative, successful, and inspiring.

The campaign transforms Black History Month into an ongoing observance and celebration of Black excellence beyond February. The first step in redefining black wealth is a text message affirmation program meant to strengthen black investors’ sense of self and boost their involvement in the stock market.

Beginning with Black History Month 2023, Stackwell intends to redefine the concept of Black wealth. We will demonstrate our wealth through the spirit of who we are, our community, culture, art, and dreams, “Trevor Rozier-Byrd, founder and CEO of Stackwell. “For us, Black history, like our wealth, is something we inherit and pass down.

We will encourage and empower more people in the Black community to participate in financial markets to grow long-term sustainable wealth by changing the perspective of what wealth looks like and who investing is for.”

Today is the beginning of the text affirmation program. Texting “Black Wealth” to (833) 536-5416 will enable users to subscribe to Stackwell’s daily text affirmations on investor identity, financial wellness, and general advice and inspiration for leading fruitful lives.

To address and eliminate the social, emotional, and cultural barriers to investing, this program aims to build on the investment insights and education offered through the Stackwell app, one text at a time.

Along with its NBA partners, Stackwell will co-host several financial wellness events and celebrations of the Black community and culture throughout Black History Month, including:

  • Black college students, small business owners, and entrepreneurs can attend financial wellness and investment workshops in Detroit, Minneapolis, New Orleans, and Washington, D.C.;
  • providing support for the HBCU Night game and other events honoring Black culture in New Orleans, as well as for the New Orleans Pelicans;
  • Announcing support for the Washington Wizards’ “Our Community, Our History” Black History Month campaign, which aims to honor the accomplishments of and contributions made by African Americans to the history and culture of our nation;
  • Supporting the Detroit Pistons’ Pistons Equality scholarship event, which supports local high school seniors who are graduating.

To maintain the campaign and broaden the company’s influence within the Black community nationally, Stackwell will announce new initiatives and programming throughout the year, including new community-based efforts across the U.S.
