For Zendaya, this year is going to be a huge one on the big screen.
The CinemaCon Star of the Year honor will be presented to the Euphoria Emmy honor winner on April 27 at the Big Screen Achievement Awards. The official convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners will come to an end with the ceremony, which will take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Zendaya To Get The Star Of The Year Award
Before the August 11 release of MGM’s Luca Guadagnino-directed romance sports drama Challengers, in which she co-stars with Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor, and the November 3 release of Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ massive Dune: Part Two sequel, Zendaya receives this honour.

The managing director of CinemaCon, Mitch Neuhauser, praised Zendaya: “In just a few short years, Zendaya has captured audiences’ attention with her compassionate performance on the small screen as Rue in Euphoria and has drawn audiences in on the big screen with her performances in Spider-Man: Far From Home, The Greatest Showman, and Dune.”
Before making her television debut on the Disney Channel’s Shake It Up and K.C. Undercover, Zendaya began her career in Oakland. She transitioned to the A-list after winning consecutive Emmy Awards for best actor in a drama series for her role as Rue on HBO’s Euphoria. Alongside Tom Holland, she gained notoriety as MJ in the popular Spider-Man films Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
She also contributed to the creation and production of Malcolm & Marie, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Smallfoot, and The Greatest Showman during the epidemic.

The National Association of Theatre Owners’ formal convention, CinemaCon, will take place April 24-27. The Coca-Cola Company, the event’s formal sponsor, presents the Big Screen Achievement Awards. Along with Zendaya, Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas, and the entire company of Adele Lim’s road trip comedy Joy Ride from Lionsgate will also be honoured.
Another US-based media outlet, Deadline, reports that Zendaya will shortly make her big-screen comeback in Warner Bros. and Legendary’s Dune: Part Two, which will hit theatres on November 3. The second adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic science fiction book by Denis Villeneuve will continue to examine Paul Atreides’ mythic journey as he joins Chani (played by Zendaya) and the Fremen while on a warpath of vengeance against the conspirators who killed his family. He tries to stop a terrible future that only he can see by choosing between the love of his life and the fate of the known world.
The announcement was made, according to Variety, a US-based media outlet, by Mitch Neuhauser, managing director of CinemaCon.- On the last night of the convention, Zendaya will accept the honour at the Big Screen Achievement Awards event. From April 24 to 27, 2023, CinemaCon will take place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
