In connection with an incident that occurred on the sets of his 2019 Netflix feature 6 Underground, which stars Ryan Reynolds, Michael Bay has been charged with the murder of a pigeon in Italy. A homing pigeon was reportedly killed in 2018 in Rome during production, according to the Italian government. The American director has refuted the accusations levelled against him and stated that he has attempted to resolve the matter with the authorities over the years but to no avail.

In the action movie, Ryan plays a billionaire who goes by the alias One and forms a vigilante squad with five other people who have pretended to die to fight the bad guys. Along with them, Corey Hawkins, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Dave Franco, Adria Arjona, Ben Hardy, Lior Raz, and Melanie Laurent starred in the Netflix film.
