Sonali Phogat was first elected to fight as Assembly Election on ticket of BJP in Adampur (Haryana) in 2019.

In 2008, Sonali Phogat joined BJP party and become a Vice President Mahila Morcha in BJP.

Sonali Phogat was born in village of Fatehabad, Haryana in Jatt-farmer family.
