If You Wanted to check if your mobile phone will support 5G service or not? Here’s a way to find it out

On Saturday, October 1, the launch of 5G services in India signalled the beginning of a new era of mobile devices with extraordinarily fast internet. Internet capacity and speed on the 5G network will be ten times or more higher than they are now on the 4G network.

India is now a member of the elite group of nations that offer 5G service networks, which also includes the US, Korea, UK, Japan, China, and nations in Europe.

Society will be greatly benefited by the introduction of 5G technology. It will be possible to achieve very low latency, high data rates, and incredibly dependable connection.

This service has begun operating in a number of cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Madras, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Pune. As of October 1, the 5G service network is open for business. In the beginning, this service was introduced in India by Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea. Check to see if your old phone works with the 5G network first.

Instead of replacing their current 4G SIM card with a 5G one, Airtel first advised its users to make sure their mobile device supported 5G technology.

Here is how you can check if your phone supports 5G service or not.

Users of Airtel’s mobile service should use their handset to access Google Play and download the Airtel Thanks app in order to determine whether their phone is a 5G phone or not. After that, when you activate the app, the 5G Plus banner will show up on the home screen. It will say here if your phone supports 5G or not.

A new page will load after tapping the banner. The company will clarify if you live in one of the cities where this service was originally provided. The company will also check the mobile device’s 5G compatibility. Now, Airtel will ask you to go to the settings. By clicking here to access the settings’ network tab, you can choose 5G as your preferred network. 5G service signals will then start to reach phones after that.
