VHP Not To Oppose Shah Rukh Khan’s Film Pathaan For The Time Being
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has stated that it will not currently oppose Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan because the suggested changes to the movie are appropriate.
“VHP won’t currently object to the movie Pathaan. The modifications to the movie are accurate in light of our earlier criticisms. If we discover anything objectionable after watching the movie, we’ll think twice about being against it, “said Shriraj Nair, a spokesman for the VHP.
Industry insiders claim that “Pathaan,” lead role Shah Rukh Khan, is prepared to have the biggest opening of any Hindi film thanks to 4.19 lakh tickets sold up until Tuesday and an occupancy rate of 80% on day one, even for early morning shows starting at 6 or 7 am.
The movie, which opens today on 5,000 screens, might be a sign of good things for the industry in 2023, which is currently suffering from crippling losses due to the Covid pandemic and a string of poor box office performances. The multiplexes, single-screen theatres, and the south are all experiencing a ticket price increase.
“The movie will have a historic opening day at the box office, bringing in between Rs 45 and Rs 50 crore. The box office revival will begin with ‘Pathaan,’ based on its booking. This is extremely unusual. And tomorrow is a working day,” Taran Adarsh, a trade analyst, told PTI.
“This film will outperform ‘KGF 2’ in advance bookings, grossing between Rs 45 and 50 crores,” said Rajendra Singh Jyala, chief programming officer at multiplex chain INOX.
“We have 7 am shows at Inox that are nearly 80% full. “The early morning shows are taking place in cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, and others,” Jyala told PTI.
According to Kamal Gianchandani, president of the Multiplex Association of India, “Pathaan’s” advancements have surpassed all expectations.
He declared that tomorrow’s opening would undoubtedly be the biggest for any Hindi film.
There have been early morning shows in the past. Still, he said the excitement for “Pathaan” is unprecedented, with movie theatres opening for a 6 or 7 am showing in several cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Noida, and Gurgaon.
