Since they announced their “Megxit” from England in 2020, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have differed from the Royals. Then, a reconciliation between them looked improbable following the couple’s media blitz, in which they commented on the family and made some pretty surprising accusations in many interviews.
However, many were hopeful that they could settle their differences with Harry’s family once and for all and reach peace since the couple’s return to the United Kingdom and their participation in the activities surrounding Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Montecito Return Reason
Tom Bower, a royal authority and novelist, said in an interview on the day of the funeral that the couple’s position in the second row was a massive slap in the face. In his opinion, the way the rest of the Royal Family handled Meghan and Harry today disclosed a lack of sympathy on their part.
He also said that Harry and Meghan were upset as they left the funeral and will bring that anger back to Montecito. “They are going to go back to Montecito fuming, and the autobiography [of Prince Harry] will soon be made out and released,” he added.
Additionally, he thinks Sophie Wessex and Meghan may have exchanged insulting comments. As they travelled between Westminster Hall and the church in the vehicle, Bower continued, “I would have loved to have known what Sophie Wessex said to Meghan Markle.
The notion that William and Harry’s body language indicated reconciliation is absurd, he said. “How on earth can there be reconciliation when Harry and Meghan have said such bad things about William and his wife? No grounds for sympathy unless the two of them, the Sussex’s, apologise.”
Gayle King, Oprah’s closest friend, implied that a reconciliation probably hadn’t occurred. Both sides have attempted to “sort of making this right,” she said. “Big families always have drama, they always go through issues. It remains to be seen—are [the Sussex’s and the royals] going to be drawn closer together, or will they be drawn apart? I have no idea, I have no inside information on that, but I will tell you this: It was good to see Harry with his family.”
