The Ringer Podcast Network’s Black on the Air, which Wilmore presently hosts, has previously included guests including Kerry Washington, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Regina Hall, B.J. Novak, Wanda Sykes, and Judd Apatow. Grown-ish and Insecure were both co-created by him and Kenya Barris.

Larry is a prolific author whose distinctive wit has appeared on stage, in cinema, and podcasts. It would be an understatement to say that we are fortunate to have him host this year’s Ambies, according to Donald Albright, CEO of Tenderfoot TV and chair of The Podcast Academy. He stands out on his own. They eagerly anticipate what he will offer to the wedding in both sight and sound.

The podcast 9/12 (Pineapple Street Studios, Amazon Music, and Wondery) won the highest honour for the podcast of the year at the 2022 Ambien Awards. Other winners included Sam Sanders, a former NPR anchor, for his work as a host on It’s Been a Minute, and Rosamund Pike for her performance in QCode’s Edith. The Mayan Theater in Los Angeles served as the venue for the event.

Along with Wondery, Sonoro, Audible, The Podcast Show, Stitcher, PRX, Tenderfoot TV, Castbox, Loeb & Loeb, and Paramount, The Hollywood Reporter is a sponsor of The Podcast Academy.
