Taylor Swift’s Playful Nod to Kanye West
During the Eras Tour, Taylor Swift has playfully referenced her past feud with Kanye West multiple times. In one instance, during a surprise acoustic set, she sang “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things,” a song from her Reputation album that is believed to allude to West.
In the original lyrics, there’s a line about forgiveness, which she delivered with a sarcastic laugh, unable to keep a straight face. A similar moment occurred at an earlier tour stop in July, where she broke into laughter while singing the same song.
The lead vocalist of The Midnights recently concluded a series of four consecutive performances in Mexico City as part of her extensive Eras Tour. Following this, she is preparing for the launch of her re-recorded album, “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” scheduled for release in October. Subsequently, she will resume touring, with the current schedule indicating the tour’s conclusion in November in Toronto.
