Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G: Here’s a Quick Unboxing

Oppo Reno 10 5G Series With Triple Rear Cameras, 100W Fast Charging Launched in India: Price, Specifications.

The middle child in the new Reno 10 series in India is the Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G. It shares some of the hardware and features of its more expensive sister, the Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G+, as well as a comparable appearance.

A triple camera arrangement, a curved edge display, and the most recent version of ColorOS 13.1 are all included in the Reno 10 Pro 5G. The OnePlus Nord 3 (Review), iQoo Neo 7 Pro 5G (First Impressions), and OnePlus 11R 5G (Review), all newly released devices, are some of the ones the gadget competes against and are both priced at Rs. 39,999. Here are our initial thoughts on the brand-new smartphone.

All required accessories for the Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G are included in the box. Along with some literature and the SIM eject utility, you also receive a clear casing. A USB Type-A to Type-C cable and an 80W SuperVOOC charging converter are also included. The hue Oppo supplied us is called Glossy Purple, and it has a glossy texture. For those who prefer a less eye-catching shade, there is also Silvery Grey available.

The Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G 5G is, despite having a glass back, a quite lightweight and compact smartphone in my opinion. It uses a curved frame and back panel, which is the conventional design language. The Reno 10 Pro 5G 5G stands out from the sea of uniformity, despite the fact that many new phones have flat frames. Its thickness is 7.89mm, and it weighs roughly 185g. A speaker grille, USB Type-C connector, and twin SIM trays are all located on the bottom of the plastic frame. Keys for power and volume are located on the right edge.

I enjoy how the camera module’s triple-camera system is housed in a pill-shaped, dual-tone design. The 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera sensor used in the Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G 5G is the same one used in the top-tier OnePlus 11 5G smartphone. A 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 telephoto camera with 2X optical zoom and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 112-degree field of view are also included. Optical image stabilisation (OIS) is only supported by the main camera. Up to 4K 30fps video recording is supported via the back camera.

The big, 6.7-inch, 120Hz OLED display on the Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G’s front has curved edges and a hole-punch cutout at the top. The 10-bit display, according to Oppo, boasts a maximum brightness of 950 nits. I haven’t had any problems using it outside in daylight with my short use thus far.

Oppo claims that the Reno 10 Pro 5G’s display has a 56-degree side curvature, which is a little less than the 61-degree side curvature of the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G (Review). The Vivo V27 Pro (Review) and the Reno 10 Pro 5G both have single speaker systems, which is unfortunate. It is pretty loud, but the audio is not really engrossing. This phone also lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The most recent ColorOS 13.1, which is based on Android 13.0, is installed on the Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G. Some first-party programmes from Oppo’s native App Market, such HotApps, HotGames, and Hot Free Games, as well as a tonne of third-party apps, like Josh, ShareChat, Tall Runner 3D, Candy Crush, etc., are all over the user interface. For the Reno 10 Pro 5G, Oppo has committed to providing two significant Android upgrades and three years’ worth of security updates.

According to Oppo, the 4,600mAh battery inside the Reno 10 Pro 5G 5G can be fully charged in around 28 minutes when using the company’s own 80W SuperVOOC charging adaptor. The device’s SoC is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G, and its GPU is an Adreno 642L. There is just one model available with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.
