Infinix GT 10 Pro Review: Gaming Phone

Infinix GT 10 Pro

At least not in the west or Asia, Infinix GT 10 Pro is a well-known brand in the smartphone industry. Infinix, like its sister company Tecno, has spent the previous ten years primarily selling phones in Africa, where the two companies are market leaders. Transsion, the parent company of Infinix and Tecno, appears to have its sights set on other continents today, since both brands are creating quite a stir.

At the Mobile World Congress earlier this year, Tecno unveiled a foldable phone, while Infinix displayed the world’s quickest charging technology—a 260W charger that can recharge a phone in under eight minutes.

The first gaming phone from Infinix is now available, and it is aimed at the Southeast Asian and European markets. The Infinix GT 10 Pro Pro is a typical “gaming phone” in that it features LED lighting strips and a flamboyant appearance.

I don’t understand why gaming phones feel the need to have sporadic flashing lights on its underside, but at least this phone packs a punch considering it costs only $240. The two-month-old MediaTek Dimensity 8050, a 6nm CPU with one overclocked 3GHz core, three performance cores, and four additional multitasking cores, powers the GT 10 Pro. All of this translates into the chip being able to allocate resources to gaming without compromising background programmes, or vice versa—background apps may continue to operate without significantly affecting main game performance.

The display panel is flat, which makes it easier to grip while gaming, and it has a fast refresh rate with 360Hz touch sampling rate, 1920Hz high frequency PWM dimming, and a low blue light solution. The screen also looks great and is perfect for gaming.

Maximum brightness may use some improvement in my opinion, but it could just be me being used to much more expensive phones. The screen brightness is probably acceptable for its low price point.

The camera system just has one 108MP camera and a tonne of pointless 2MP sensors, so don’t be deceived by the huge camera module and several lenses. This phone’s focal range is extremely constrained because there is neither an ultra-wide camera nor a zoom lens.

The primary camera performs similarly at this entry-level level, with a sluggish shutter and photographs that have exposure issues. However, given that this phone has a nice screen and processor at a reasonable price, I believe the subpar photography experience can be overlooked.

At 5,000 mAh, the battery is similarly sizable and provides the screen with at least 7 hours of screen-on time. You ought should be able to complete a decent six-hour gaming session without running out of power, even if you play continuously. For active gaming, this is beneficial. The GT 10 Pro will last all day if you just use it as a regular phone.

One additional thing to note is that the GT 10 Pro comes with a tonne of extras, such earbuds, a tempered glass screen protector, and a carrying case. In actuality, the box functions as an amplifier for speakers. When compared to Apple, Google, and Samsung’s bare-bones packaging, this is a breath of new air. At $240, the Infinix GT 10 Pro is a great value that should aid the company in establishing a footprint in Southeast Asia, notably India, as well as some regions of Europe.
