After his ex-girlfriend Kate Moss testified in his defamation trial against Amber Heard, Johnny Depp appeared to smile at her, and his grin drew a lot of attention on social media.
Ms. Moss testified via video link on Wednesday. Ms. Heard said that Mr. Depp shoved her down the stairs in the 1990s, but she disputed it. The model, who dated the Hollywood actor from 1994 to 1998, admitted that she did tumble down a flight of stairs while on vacation in Jamaica with Mr Depp and that he pulled her up.
“As I left the room, I tumbled down the stairs and bruised my back,” Ms Moss explained. I yelled because I was in pain and had no idea what had happened to me. He came hurrying back to assist me, carrying me back to my room and arranging for emergency treatment.”
“He never shoved me, kicked me, or threw me down any steps,” the model said of the Pirates and the Caribbean actor.
Following Ms Moss’ brief testimony, social media users noticed Mr Depp beaming at the screen on which he was watching her.
Internet fans hailed Ms Moss for refuting the allegation, which was started by Ms Heard, who claimed that an alleged event involving the Hollywood actor and her sister reminded her of another time when Mr Depp allegedly shoved Ms Moss down the stairs while they were dating in the 1990s.
“Johnny Depp expressing genuine emotions after hearing Kate Moss testify on his behalf,” one Twitter user commented. When her testimony was over, he couldn’t take his eyes off the television. It’s tough to say whether he cried or not. Wow. Wow, just wow. Kate Moss, thank you. “Thank you, thank you, thank you,” says the narrator. “Omggg the bright smile on Johhny’s face as Kate Moss finished her testimony!!!!!!” said another.

“Kate Moss is a legendary model and has never testified in any court proceedings before,” a third person lauded the supermodel. The fact that she agreed to testify on Johnny Depp’s behalf thirty years after they first dated says a lot.”
It’s worth noting that Johnny Depp is suing Amber Heard for defamation over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed she published on surviving domestic violence. Ms. Heard, on the other side, is suing Mr. Depp, accusing him of orchestrating a “smear campaign” against her and labelling his case as “abuse and harassment.”
The trial is still ongoing, with closing arguments scheduled for Friday.
