Jerry Harris jailed
Jerry Harris has been jailed for 12 years.
The ‘Cheer’ star (Jerry Harris) entered into a plea agreement with the prosecution in February and appeared in court on Wednesday (06.07.22) for sentencing. He had been the subject of an FBI investigation for allegedly soliciting minors for sex in May 2019.
The judge announced a 12-year prison sentence after a protracted hearing during which friends and fans delivered remarks regarding the Netflix star’s persona.
Jerry will have to endure eight years of court-supervised release upon his release from prison.

The 22-year-old reality star had initially pleaded not guilty to seven charges in December 2020; however, as part of a plea agreement, she had previously admitted to receiving child pornography and travelling across state lines with the intention of having sex with a minor under the age of 15, with prosecutors requesting the dismissal of the remaining charges.
When asked at the time what Harris wanted to do, Harris’ attorneys stated that their client wanted to “accept responsibility for his acts and publicly convey his contrition for the hurt he has caused the victims.”
According to Jerry’s legal team, he has been receiving therapy in prison and “will spend the rest of his life making apologies for what he has done” since being taken into custody following his arrest in September 2020.

His attorneys also described how their client had experienced sexual molestation as a young child while participating in competitive cheerleading.
Because there was nowhere safe to talk about his victimisation, Jerry chose to hide his suffering and adopt the outgoing persona that the world has come to know and love.
As we now know, Jerry was an older adolescent when he started to commit crimes.
The cheerleader allegedly contacted an underage youth via a social media app and “repeatedly enticed him to produce sexually explicit videos and photographs of himself,” despite being informed during their initial exchange that the alleged victim was only 13 years old. According to Illinois authorities, this is how the investigation got started.
The child’s attorneys previously stated: “We are appreciative that the FBI and U.S. Attorney moved quickly to protect children by looking into, arresting, and charging Jerry Harris.
This was made possible because the mother of our clients had the guts to inform the FBI and the Fort Worth Police Department about Harris and to present concrete evidence of the abuse, exploitation, and sexual harassment that her sons had endured.
