During a recent rare public appearance at the Red Sea Film Festival, actor Jackie Chan teased fans about a prospective Rush Hour 4 sequel. According to the US entertainment news source Deadline, he informed fans that he is now in conversations to produce the next Rush Hour movie. He informed the audience at the festival that they were currently discussing part 4, adding that he will be meeting with the movie’s director this evening to chat about the script, according to Deadline.

According to the site, he did not name the director, although all three of the prior films were directed by American director Brett Ratner.

In November 2017, seven women, including actors Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge, accused Ratner of sexual harassment and assault. Ratner hasn’t directed a movie since 2014. Due to this, according to Deadline, Warner Bros. severed all relations with the producer-director with whom they had a lucrative contract.
