Elon Musk On New York Times Strike – Read to Know What He Did

The Tesla CEO has already attacked the publication, so this is nothing new. Elon Musk criticized The New York Times last week for failing to report on the controversy surrounding Twitter’s censorship of a New York Post article about Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden.

Elon Musk On New York Times

Following a dispute between the newspaper’s workers union and negotiators over pay and other concerns, thousands of The New York Times employees embarked on a 24-hour strike on Thursday. Elon Musk, a billionaire, has attacked the English daily as the walkout draws attention from the media community.

Musk tweeted, “Woke v Woke,” after sharing an article from the New York Times with the headline, “New York Times Union Starts One-Day Strike.

On the platform, the post received a range of reactions.

Reacting to the post, a fan wrote, “Sometimes being awake is better. For instance, it could have saved you $44 billion if you were woke during the signing of the Twitter contract.”

Another one tweeted, “Serious question Elon: Is it possible that using the word ‘woke’ to describe anything and everything one doesn’t like has diluted its meaning (which if you ask 10 people to define you might get 10 different answers) and effectively jumped the shark at this point?”

A fan tweeted, “Don’t get me wrong but in my expert opinion Elon musk is the greatest mathematician, physicist, scientist, marketing genius, military strategist, businessman, computer scientist, and athlete the world has ever seen let’s come together and appreciate the greatness”

Another tweeted, “Kinda like the words, racist, bigot, homophobe, transphobe, xenophobe, islamophobe, insurrectionist, election denier, etc. Yup all lost their meanings, diluted down to represent people we don’t politically agree with”

The Tesla CEO has previously attacked the publication, therefore this is nothing new. According to Elon Musk’s criticism last week, the controversy surrounding Twitter’s censorship of a New York Post article about Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden was not covered by The New York Times.

He made this statement in response to a tweet from radio host Clay Travis that said, “Not one single article about Elon Musk or the Twitter email release.”

In his reply, Musk wrote, “That is because The New York Times has become, for all intents and purposes, an unregistered lobbying firm for far-left politicians”.

The New York Times strike was brought on by negotiations between the New York Times Guild and negotiators failing to produce results despite 40 sessions.

Announcing the strike, the New York Times Guild said, “Today we were ready to work for as long as it took to reach a fair deal, but management walked away from the table with five hours to go. It’s official: NY Times Guild members are walking out for 24 hours on Thursday. We know what we’re worth.”
