‘Dhaakad’ Box Office Collection: On Day 8 of its release, KanganaRanaut’s film earns Rs 4420.
On the eighth day of its theatrical release, KanganaRanaut’s action film ‘Dhaakad‘ has only made Rs 4,420. Bollywood Hungama has reported on the film’s box office receipts. The film has made roughly Rs 3 crore so far, adding to Ranaut’s history of failing films.
The total budget for the film was estimated to be between Rs 80 and Rs 90 crore. According to a different report by Bollywood Hungama, the film is having trouble finding a streaming distributor because the filmmakers were unable to reach an agreement before the release.
RazneeshGhai directed the film, which also stars Arjun Rampal, Saswata Chatterjee, and Divya Dutta. Dhaakad earned mixed reviews, but the audience appears to have given it a thumbs up.
On the other hand, the horror-comedy sequel BhoolBhulaiyaa 2, which was released alongside Dhaakad, is close to breaking the Rs 100 crore mark.
Dhaakad received 3.5 stars from IE’s film critic Shalini Langer, who concluded her review by saying, “It’s a simple, uncomplicated storyline where Agni became an agent after a shocking incident in childhood… and is now leading the Agency’s investigation of a trafficking ring operating out of central India.”
