After disclosing that she had an abortion to save her life two years ago, Chrissy Teigen expected violent online backlash and said to the trolls, “I’ve already seen you do your worst.”

The model, TV host, and influencer admitted on Thursday that her miscarriage in September 2020 of the child she was carrying with husband John Legend resulted from an abortion. Previously, she had claimed that the pregnancy had ended in a miscarriage. Teigen contended that the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade this summer, which destroyed the constitutional right to an abortion and caused several states to curtail abortion rights substantially, spurred her to speak out.
Teigen stated in a tweet on Friday, “I knew this would happen, and honestly, I’ve already seen you do your worst, so if this makes you feel better, great. “Teigen provided screenshots of vile remarks made against her in the message.” It doesn’t make me feel worse though”, she added.
Teigen has a significant social media following, with more than 39 million Instagram followers and more than 13 million followers on Twitter. She deactivated her Twitter account in March 2021 due to constant attacks from trolls before restoring it less than a month later with the message “I choose to take the bad with the good.”
While Teigen sent a string of hurtful tweets to Courtney Stodden, a model and TV personality, in 2011, when she was still a teenager, she was accused of online bullying. After apologising, Teigen declared, “I was a troll, full stop.”
The third season of Teigen’s unscripted small-claims court drama “Chrissy’s Court,” which is modelled after “Judge Judy,” debuts on the Roku Channel on October 21. Her mother, Pepper Thai, co-stars in the programme as the “bailiff” in charge of keeping the peace in the court.
A number of her Twitter followers advised her to ignore the trolls, as one person wrote: ‘I’m so sorry that you are dealing with this, again! Thank you for your story, your truth.’
