Chris Hemsworth has hinted that ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ could be his final Marvel film

Chris Hemsworth has hinted that his upcoming picture “Thor: Love and Thunder” could be his last for Marvel.

Hemsworth discussed his future as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during an auto-complete interview with Wired (MCU). “What is Chris Hemsworth’s last Marvel movie?” he was asked during the video section.

The actor stated, “The last one I recently shot was ‘Thor: Love and Thunder.'” “I don’t know if it’ll be my last.”

In the 2011 stand-alone picture “Thor,” Chris Hemsworth makes his debut as the God of Thunder.

He returned to the role in “The Avengers” (2012), “Thor: The Dark World” (2013), “Avengers: Age of Ultron” (2015), “Doctor Strange” (2016)’s end-credits scene, “Thor: Ragnarok” (2017), “Avengers: Infinity War” (2018), and “Avengers: Endgame” (2019). (2019).

In 2011’s “Thor,” Portman made her MCU debut as astrophysicist Jane Foster, a role she reprised in the 2013 sequel. Jane was last seen in “Avengers: Endgame,” when Thor announced that they were no longer together.

The actress startled fans at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 when she emerged on stage with the hammer and revealed that she’ll portray a female version of Thor.

“Love and Thunder” is “based on the graphic novel of the ‘Mighty Thor,'” Portman stated in a 2020 interview with Fatherly.

Jane would have powers this time, according to Kelly Clarkson, who spoke with her that year.

“It’s not the same as Thor,” she said. “Things’s her interpretation of it.”

He also provided the voice of Thor in the Disney+ animated series.-“What if?”

TaikaWaititi’s “Ragnarok” was acclaimed for revitalising the “Thor” franchise and bringing the hammer-wielding superhero in a fresh direction.

Waititi and Chris Hemsworth will reunite for the fourth standalone “Thor” picture, “Love and Thunder,” which will hit theatres this summer.

Thor was last seen embarking on a spaceship with the Guardians of the Galaxy in “Endgame,” and the film picks up after that.

Thor will embark on a quest of self-discovery, which will be interrupted by the appearance of Christian Bale’s adversary Gorr the God Butcher, according to the trailers shown thus far for “Love and Thunder.”

Hemsworth stated of filming “Love and Thunder,” “It was a wild and exciting and wacky experience, as all TaikaWaititi movies are.”

“I’ve been playing that character for ten, eleven years, and every time it’s been new and thrilling, and this was no exception,” he continued. “It felt new and exciting, like if we were attempting something for the first time. It was a “wacky, wild, romantic comedy set in space,” as Taika put it.”

The film “Thor: Love and Thunder,” starring Chris Hemsworth, Christian Bale, Natalie Portman, and Tessa Thompson, will be released in theatres on July 8th.
