Charlize Theron praised women who blazed the way as directors, producers, and heads of studio departments as well as those who started their own production firms. In order to strengthen their voices, she advised women to rely on one another as resources.

Charlize Theron has finally started to notice more powerful female characters in the movie industry. Theron added after receiving the esteemed Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment breakfast gala on Wednesday in Los Angeles, “Women are tearing down the whole… building.” Seth Rogen, a friend, presented the Oscar winner with the honor for her outstanding achievements as a trailblazer and her humanitarian efforts in Hollywood.
Theron recognised the contributions of female studio department heads, directors, producers, and those who started their own production enterprises. In order to strengthen their voices, she advised women to rely on one another as resources.
“I want us to keep each other accountable, use each other as resources and push each other to keep using our voices and platforms for something greater than ourselves,” Theron stated. The Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, an organization devoted to improving life for people in South Africa, is run by the star and she claimed it has inspired her by young people.

According to Theron, “in the face of what we would consider adversity or concrete ceilings, they see opportunity and room for change, growth, and inclusion.”
Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep, Viola Davis, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, and Barbra Streisand were among the awardees in the previously.
Rogen referred to Theron as the most outstanding person he has ever met in a moving speech. He then made a joke about how Theron’s “murders people in every movie she does,” which makes him feel physically intimidated to work with her on a project.
Everyone in the audience laughed at Rogen’s joke. The actor provided additional comic relief by mocking Kim Kardashian, who was supposed to present at the event but was not present.
Issa Rae, who had previously received the Equity in Entertainment Award in recognition of amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities in the entertainment industry, was praised by Theron for her work.
