With a dramatic and audacious twist, “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” has completed its debut season on Prime Video. Although the television show hints that Halbrand, Charlie Vickers had committed certain sins before his fortuitous meeting with Galadriel (Morfydd Clark), few would have guessed that they included, say, the dark lord Sauron.

An early fake-out in Season 1, Episode 8 (“Alloyed”), in which three villains approach The Stranger (Daniel Weyman) and proclaim him to be Lord Sauron, makes this revelation all the more stunning. The climactic revelation will significantly alter the series’ focus and scope. The creation of the first Rings of Power in “The Lord of the Rings” prequel; Halbrand/Sauron actor Charlie Vickers has more realistic expectations for his time in the second season of the well-liked fantasy programme.
In addition to discussing the major twist, Charlie Vickers gave Variety his predictions about what his character might be up to in Season 2. Even though Sauron was approaching the recently revealed land of Mordor at the end of Season 1, Vickers still wished his character would leave those desolate regions, if only temporarily.

It’s such a deep and beautifully crafted universe, so I would love to share certain scenes with the dwarves, Vickers added. “There is a lot there which differs from my current tale. We’ll see — maybe, maybe not, but I’d love to share scenes with that, “Finally, he said.
While some locations in “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” such as the island of Numenor, do seem relatively beyond the character’s grasp, it’s still possible that Sauron will eventually come into contact with the dwarves. It might even be canonical in J.R.R. Tolkien’s universe for him to make their rings next, given that he should be doing so.
It’s also possible that Sauron may utilise his dark influence over the Balrog to trouble the dwarves since Season 1 already revealed the creature. Vickers and followers of the “Lord of the Rings” prequel will have to wait to see where the character goes in Season 2.
