After losing custody of her, Honey Boo Boo finds it difficult to trust her mother.

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is working hard to mend her mother Mama June’s connection with her.

The 16-year-old star of the family’s reality TV programme said of her 42-year-old mother, “It’s never anything different,” in a recent teaser.

She said, “A lot has happened, but I’m kind of over it now.”

The adolescent was debating whether or not to invite June to her high school graduation when it happened.

In the Mama June: Road to Redemption excerpt, Honey Boo Boo debated the choice with Dr. Ish, the family’s psychiatrist.

The small girl told the doctor, “Mama’s going to do what Mama’s going to do whether we advise her not to or not.”

The preview also showed that Thompson was annoyed because her older sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 22, surprised her by chatting with Dr. Ish when she didn’t expect it.

Since their mother was detained on drug-related charges in 2019, Alana has lived with Pumpkin.

The former pageant contestant had a concern as she talked about her impending achievement: “I’m going to graduate soon, but, like, should I even invite you to my graduation because are you even going to come?”

The mother-of-four is shown favouring a sober lifestyle in the TV show’s plot, but it’s obvious that her children still find it difficult to trust her.

The television star has been preoccupied with her relationship with 20-year-old Dralin Carswell in the interim.

The young man first encountered Alana’s older sister in the episode of the show that aired last week.

Despite criticism from the public due to their four year age difference, the two have been dating for more than a year.

People need to understand that Mama June will turn 17 in August and that Pumpkin and Josh [Pumpkin’s husband] were the same age as they were, Mama June previously argued in defence of the union, according to TooFab.
