Acharya Movie Review – Starring Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan

Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan starrer Acharya Movie Review: The writing is so poor that even the two actors' massive stardom feels inadequate to lift this movie. It's a snooze fest.

This Acharya movie review will cover the plot and the performances of the main characters. Set in a temple town near the Siddhavanam forest, Acharya is a Naxalite leader who tries to protect the town from evil forces. The film features a cast that includes Ram Charan as the local municipal chairman, Sourav Lokesh as an evil character, and Rajkumar Rao as the local police inspector.

The film’s cinematography is one of the highlights, as Thiru has managed to capture lush greenery and drab hues with a beautiful camera. VFX work by Navin Nooli, however, is mediocre and gives the film a dated look at times. Similarly, the movie is not memorable due to its score, background score, or song lyrics. While the acting is good, Acharya lacks a memorable performance from Koratala Siva.

The plot is predictable and carries no surprises, but it’s the performance of Ram Charan as Siddha that brings vigor to the storytelling. Unfortunately, the screenplay is a mess, and Koratala Siva, the director, fails to match the star power of his previous films. Although the cast and the writing of Mirchi were impressive, the story and execution were uninspired. Koratala Siva’s director tried to recreate the charm of the film’s climax but failed to match the quality of the previous film.

Koratala Siva’s four previous films have been a hit, but Acharya is a poor film. The director largely relies on the mythological heft and visual element of the original to keep the movie interesting. Although Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan are big stars, they don’t make the film work. The movie is a snoozer that fails to live up to the high expectations.

Acharya Movie

The film is a commercial high-voltage film, but despite its high-voltage plot, it tries to emotionally connect with the audience. It tried to balance two very strong characters, and the film tried to create a vintage Chiranjeevi film feel. Unfortunately, the film lacked any emotional connection once Siddha made his entry into the picture. The narration is also outdated, which did not work in the film’s favor.

Koratala Siva followed the formula that he used in his debut film with Acharya. It is a definite blockbuster. Siva is known for his solid writing and the way he presents his lead characters. Chiru and Charan are superb as the two heroes. While the film is about saving the people and Dharma, it has some moments that will leave you confused. Nevertheless, it’s a strong film overall, and a worthy watch for fans of Siva’s work.
