A Bittersweet News For Handmaid’s Tale Fans

Author Margaret Atwood first shared “The Handmaid’s Tale,” her most recent book, with readers back in 1985. The book, which is set in the distant future, explains that contemporary civilization as we know it has disintegrated. The authoritarian community known as Gilead, where women are treated like property and have had most of their rights removed, has emerged from the ashes.

June Osborne makes it her goal to leave this dystopian system and reunite with her family, which authorities in charge of Gilead have divided up, despite the severe repercussions for even attempting to do so.

It’s not unexpected that Hollywood acquired “The Handmaid’s Tale” and turned it into a television series. Since its April 2017 debut, the Hulu adaptation of the story, which stars Elizabeth Moss as June Osborne, has achieved astounding success.

The release date and several episodes for Season 6 are currently unknown as Season 5 gears up for its two-part premiere on September 14.
